I'm thrilled that you want to know more about me...

What I know to be true:  our lives are unscripted, ever-changing and noteworthy. Simply put... life should be captured. 

What's my speciality?

  • Portraiture for women, men, families, children and couples.
  • Natural light and studio lifestyle photography.
  • Boudoir sessions.
  • Small business photography, including commercial head shots.  
  • Interior design photography and product photography.
  • Pssst... I am an artist as well and I love drawing/sketching the female silhouette with charcoal and painting with acrylics. 

What's my photography style?

As a teen, I picked up my first camera... since then, I have always had one close at hand.  Naturally artistic and creative, I would say that my intuitive eye, years of experimenting and shooting, coupled with the Washington School of Photography Professional Program instruction, are instrumental to my craft.

Behind the lens of my camera, I'm attracted to the unexpected. My photography can be described as candid, clean compositions, surprising angles and memorable expressions. While I love a striking color image, there is something to be said about an image printed in black and white -- unforgettable indeed!  Without a doubt, portraiture is my draw, and while I find smiles to be beautiful, I love that they are not always necessary in photography.  A stern gaze can stimulate the viewer just the same.  

Comfortable, relaxed and collaborative is how I greet each photo session and client experience.  With each creative project, producing images that reveal your personality and easily capture your unique lifestyle, is always the objective.  

What can't I live without?

  • Good energy from others.
  • A fabulous glass of wine.
  • Red lipstick.
  • A tailored black blazer and a great pair of jeans (ok... and a stylish pair of boots to go with).
  • The color green (my favorite color).
  • My camera.
  • Music.
  • My family.

Where can you find me?

KBR  P H O T O G R A P H Y  services are provided in the Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia area.  Also, occasional travel to the Hampton Roads Virginia area... please inquire!
